Introspection
These images began during a stretch of forced stillness. In 2020, with the world closed off, my attention turned inward. I went back to existing images and began working on them again, not to refine them, but to see what they could hold.
These images aren’t about isolation as an event. They’re about what surfaces when distraction disappears. Identity softens. Memory pushes in. The work comes from sitting with that long enough for something unresolved to show itself.
This was a period of searching. The images carry that restlessness. They come from before quiet was possible, when looking inward was less about clarity and more about survival.
