Palimpsest

Memory does not remain fixed. It shifts, revises, and leaves traces that accumulate over time. The visible world absorbs these traces, becoming layered with what has passed through it. What we see is never only the present.

Palimpsest refers to manuscripts written over but never fully erased. In a similar way, memory alters perception, pressing through what appears settled.

This work records perception shaped by time, atmosphere, and experience rather than place. What remains is not documentation, but a lingering image. Something partially remembered, partially seen.
